D159: FAMILY TIME – Dedicating this for my dad who passed away 3 years ago today.

My dad is a kind man. On his funeral, close to a couple of thousands of people came and paid respect. His wake went for 7 days. I get to hear stories I have never heard before about how he helped others. He inspires me to continue his legacy in helping others. I love you, Dad. I pray that mum doesn’t get too sad of missing him today.

This is a rather long video as reported by Gabe, my nephew, the newest 7 news reporter. You have to watch at 4.45 mark when he used his imagination. He ran out of people to interview as he already inteviewed all of us. Guess who he interviewed next? The grass. The funniest thing I’ve seen all day. I’m still laughing about it. Bless haha.

PS: Today is a Ewing Sarcoma awareness day too.

D158: MAMMA MIAAAAA

Jamming up my last day of fun. The security requested ID upon entering. He looked at my long haired ID. I smiled and said,”I used to have hair.”

He said,”Sorry.” Ah bless but I know a lot of cancer don’t want people to feel sorry for us 🙂

D157: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAN?

I want to say thank you to Julie T who came for my hospital fun run. We never had the oppportunity to talk to each other properly until today. I put a call out about transport for my daily radiation. She kindly offers to help even when we didn’t quite know each other. I’m a believer that people come into your life for a reason. It was nice to spend time with her. I get to hear her story. She shared how she lost 2 of her partners through cancer. She understands a lot about me. Some people don’t quite understand the impact of chemo and how it makes me quite sick and weak. When I said I have to go through 10 months chemo, she commented how l’d have plenty of spare time…if only that was true. Unfortunately, I’d been spending most of my spare time feeling sick or lethargic and hiding away from sick people ha.

We started talking about how cancer makes it difficult to plan anything. One day my body can be good and the next day it can turn bad. Good thing is the opposite does happen too.

You’ll find out there is a blessing in disguise when you have to live your life one day at a time.

PS: I’ve been losing weight since I got sick and in pain a couple of weeks ago. I’m the lightest I’ve been to date. My awesome dietitian, Lauren, already warned me that she doesn’t want me to lose anymore weight. Please send healing vibes and appetite my way. I have 4 more days to put some back on before going back for 5 days chemo this Wednesday.

Blessings 🙂

D156 : IS IT EXHAUSTING TO BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME?

I was telling Kelly that somene asked me this question yesterday. So, we talked about this and what you can do to be happier in your life. Kelly is a fellow coach. So, as usual we ended up talking about something deep in between laughter. This video is a bit longer than usual but there are plenty nuggets of wisdom in it.

Do you learn something from it that can make you happier in your life?

PS: Thanks Kelly for the hospital fun run 🙂
