Hugs #27 : Lauren the dietician 🙂 She makes sure that I get all my nutrition. Everyone is so lovely and helpful here. She brought me a tin of Ensure (protein & nutrition powder) to help me keep my weight during chemo. Thanks Lauren!

Good morning from hospital penthouse lol.

May Friday be a HAPPY KIND day for you!

It’s so sweet that one of the nurse Gemma remembers that I always laugh and she got happy when she saw my name on the list. I forgot to ask for a hug with her. I’m sure I’ll get one with her before I leave on Tuesday 🙂

Healthwise, I only have about 4-5 hours sleep last night in between changing the drugs, blood pressure check and going to loo a lot because I had so much fluid going into me. I usually don’t wake up at night to pee. During chemo I usually do once every 2 hours.

I have also started feeling pins and needles on my arms and feet. I’ll ask the doc later if it is a side effect but other than that I’m all good. I still have my appetite and eat most of my breakfast 🙂

Also my drip has been detached this morning at 8. Now I am free to walk around until they run chemo on me again at 6pm.

So, it begins. Round 2 chemo for 5 days. In total take about 10 hours drip everyday.

I have been told this round of Ifosfamide and Etoposide (IE) will give me confusion and disorientation because it will interfere with my brain. Let’s see if I can still be wise with my chemo brain ha 🙂

My double port has healed nicely. So the nurses can stuck two needles from there to administer chemo.

Chemo round 2 has begun. I will be staying for 5 days this round from 9th – 13th July @ Peter Mac.

Big shout out thank you to Jules for being my emergency taxi. I was planning to go tomorrow but they have bed ready for me today and told that my blood is good for chemo. Mum, bro and Kim came to hospital too which is nice 🙂

Thank you Ria for sneaking in mud cake for me haha.

Ps: I am not sure why people are mistaking my bald head with blonde hair heh 🙂

How do you embrace CHANGE?

Unfortunately, my chemo schedule has been delayed because my white blood cells is not up to the level expected. My doctor has advised that I wait until Friday. I will have another blood test and if all is good to go then I will go in on Friday.

After speaking to the doctor, I found out that sleeping over 16 hours a day for 3 consecutive days is not normal lol. But I don’t know what I don’t know. I was sent home with different nausea meds that hopefully will help me to lessen the side effect. I experienced all sort from nausea, fatique, losing appetite, taste bud change, constipation, diarrhea, dry skin, stomach cramp, mouth ulcers, body ache, vomitting, losing my hair and scalp irritation within the first round lol.

Let’s hope the next round won’t be as harsh.
