D179: Chemopedia – RAINBOW PILLS

Happy Saturday everyone 🙂

My morning cocktails is pretty colourful. I’ve never seen purple pills before. It’s MS Contin – morphine sulphate to help me with my pain. I have also been prescribed Lyrica. I have fentanil on PCA (Patent Controlled Analgesia) where I can press on demand to be administered through my drips. It has a lock out that it can only be administered once every 5 minutes to avoid abuse.

I was given Ketamene earlier but it sends me bonkers. I had random flash lights on my vision lol. I asked the doc to cease it immediately. Later, I found out people use it for party drug.

My pain is better controlled now. The most painful moment comes when dressing my wound. It stings and burns when cream touches my raw skin. Thank goodness for fentanyl on demand or I’d pass out lol.

D77: ALWAYS DO IT FROM THE HEART

Life lesson shared by 2 random elderly ladies I met at the park. I even got double hugs from them YAY! Unfortunately, they don’t want to be in the video.

Thanks to your prayers I feel better today! Fascinating how you can feel better just as quick as feeling sick.

But It’s sunny and it is spring! I have been wanting to create more routine exercise post chemo. Today, is the first time I went for a walk by myself. This round has been the most managable so far.

I believe the blood transfusion made a big difference for me. So, please consider donating your blood if you haven’t done so.

And, here is your question of the day:
“How will you write your life story?”

I have been bed bound since ICU. I’m still weak on my feet. It was nice to receive kindness from a kind friend.

Once a month, I had to have Zoladex injection with massive screwdriver needle.

Hear me sing as the needle is injected.

Thanks Alice for being gentle. Thank goodness for emla cream and ice.

Follow Doctor’s Orders above everyone 🙂

This video makes me teary. Hearing that the doc doesn’t want to risk me not getting out of ICU the third time if we pushed chemo made me realise how serious it is. Good news that I am given a break til 20th Jan before my next chemo. So, I can heal and fully recover my excruciating wound.

I love these doctors. Thank you 🙂

What a blessing to be alive!
