D185: #cancerpedia – MORPHINE INJECTION

I was in acute pain last night trying to go to toilet. Fartspasm was excruciatingly painful and more frequent. I have already been given tramadol IV and it hasn’t settled yet. So, I was given morphine to help relief the pain.

My first experience with morphine was 2 weeks ago. It puts me to sleep soundly for a couple hours which is nice as I haven’t been able to recently because of my radiation wound.

This time, it doesn’t quite put me to sleep. But it takes the edge of my pain. I don’t get high on it either.
