D179: Chemopedia – RAINBOW PILLS

Happy Saturday everyone 🙂

My morning cocktails is pretty colourful. I’ve never seen purple pills before. It’s MS Contin – morphine sulphate to help me with my pain. I have also been prescribed Lyrica. I have fentanil on PCA (Patent Controlled Analgesia) where I can press on demand to be administered through my drips. It has a lock out that it can only be administered once every 5 minutes to avoid abuse.

I was given Ketamene earlier but it sends me bonkers. I had random flash lights on my vision lol. I asked the doc to cease it immediately. Later, I found out people use it for party drug.

My pain is better controlled now. The most painful moment comes when dressing my wound. It stings and burns when cream touches my raw skin. Thank goodness for fentanyl on demand or I’d pass out lol.
