Laughter with Cancer

A silly question many of us take for granted. But do you realise there is only one breath away between life and death?

I remember vividly when I tried to rescue this poor little bird on my morning walk. I called it Eddy. I walked passed him and saw ants already covering him ready to devour his dying wings. I could see his eyes were open helplessly. I couldn’t help but to pick him up and rescue him from those ants even if I have no clue what to do next.

I hold it dearly in my hand. I looked at him with sadness hoping he can make it. My mind ponders as to who to call for bird rescue. I have never done anything like this before. I kept watching him with love as I brushed those ants away from him. I can only hope he knows that he is not alone anymore.

It was not long before Eddy taught me THE GIFT OF LIFE IS ONLY ONE BREATH AWAY. I felt his body went stiff and coldness touched my hand. For the first time, I experienced death in front of my eyes. In my very own hand, the very last breath of living.

From that moment onward, I know how precious that one breathe of life is. Thanks to Eddy, I’ll always be grateful for each breath that I take.

I buried him with tears and thank him with love for giving me a precious life lesson on the brief moment that we met. Universe is my greatest teacher.

Be grateful for this precious breath of life 🙂

Happy Monday!

Blessings xx
